The docking station itself does not require charging. However, to ensure the normal use of all its functions, especially when utilizing multiple ports, it is recommended to connect the original charger to your laptop directly or use a 100W power supply connected to the dock's PD port.

For Windows systems with AMD or NVIDIA processors, the DP1.4 connection can drive up to 4 monitors, including the laptop screen, in extended mode. Mac OS does not natively support extended mode, but the dock can still achieve dual-content display between your laptop and the connected video outputs.
